Like all of Kimber’s premium 1911 handguns, the Rapide Scorpius comes fully equipped with a wide assortment of performance enhancing features. The sights are composed of Tru-Glo’s TFX Pro Day/Night sights with a high contrast orange front ring, promoting fast and intuitive target acquisition even in low light environments. Like many of Kimber’s 1911 handguns, the Rapide Scorpius features a match-grade barrel, but also features a DLC coating – not only does this give the handgun a distinct, striking appearance, but also enhances both performance and durability. To ensure optimal control over the weapon, the Rapide Scorpius is outfitted with aggressively textured G10 grips, and the frame’s Stiplex front strap texture and high undercut trigger guard provide excellent grip purchase. In addition, the Rapide Scorpius’s slide features lightening cuts for faster lockup, and an ambidextrous thumb safety accommodates both left and right handed shooters.
